The Honourable Mark McGowan MLA

Premier Mark McGowan has been made a Paul Harris Fellow by The Rotary Club of Rockingham who believes his life exemplifies the humanitarian and educational objectives of The Rotary Foundation.
We thanked the Premier for demonstrating in his life and vocation a commitment to helping persons in need here and around the world.
The mission of The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty.

The Paul Harris Fellow is named for Paul Harris, who founded Rotary with three business associates in Chicago in 1905.
Paul Harris Fellow recognition was established in his honour in 1957 to express appreciation for a contribution of US $1,000 to the humanitarian and educational programs of The Rotary Foundation.
These programs save and invigorate the lives of people around the world and enhance international friendship and understanding.

Rotarians in several countries including Australia designate a Paul Harris Fellow to recognise another person whose life demonstrates a shared purpose with the objectives and mission of The Rotary Foundation.
