It has been a mixed year with few members. I took over from Dot Bunker in November as Director of the Committee.

Dot Brunker was Committee Director until November 2020. She organised 25 Shoeboxes for donation through Samaritan Purse.
Dot took ‘leave of absence’ for personal reasons and resigned from her position as Director.

I stepped in, in her absence and donations were approved by the RRB to
Wheelchairs for Kids $2000
Polio Plus $3099.45
Disaster Aid of $2000
Mercy Ships $2000
World Wide Fistula Fund $2000
Shelterbox $2000

Had a direct push for the End Polio campaign with displays at 4 libraries (Rockingham, Safety Bay, Warnbro and Baldivis and an Interview with Holly Thomsen and appearance in the local paper. Donations from the market were approved by the RRB to be combined with a donation of $2000 to the End Polio Campaign. End Polio day was 24th October, so events around that time were linked. Tracey Scott organised for the Council House to be lit up in red on the weekend of the 24th. She also made contact with the Rockingham Library.

I decided to walk the Bibbulmun Track and Donate to Australian Rotary Health, but not as Director.  However, I injured (broke) my hand on the second day after setting off on the 19th April and have been recovering since. So far I have raised $4635 with a donation of $2000 from Rotary Club of Rockingham being made. I plan to resume my walk in August.

It has been an interesting year and I thank all of those involved for their contribution.
